Geric Holdings was established in December 2012 by Eric van Rensburg and George Werner. Eric and George met by chance at the Broward Health North hospital in Deerfield Beach when they both visited Wikus Botha of Ermelo who was seriously injured in a car accident three days after he arrived in the USA that year.
Many South Africans living in
Florida USA heard of Wikus and visited him during his 6 months stay in the hospital and many met each other in Wikus’s hospital room and eventually became friends. In the case of Eric and George it in addition of becoming friends also resulted in the formation of Geric Holdings.
Eric lives in Delray Beach and George after 14 years in the USA moved back to Pretoria to take up the role as CEO of the South African operations of Geric Holdings. |
